Board of ¶¶Òù members of the 18 school districts in Babylon, Smithtown, and Huntington townships will vote on the Western Suffolk BOCES Administrative Budget and elect three trustees to the Western Suffolk BOCES Board of ¶¶Òù on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Voting takes place in each district. In accordance with state law, each district may cast one vote on the BOCES Administrative Budget and one vote for each vacant seat during balloting scheduled in each district. A majority of the Boards of ¶¶Òù within this BOCES must vote \u201cyes\u201d for the budget to pass. The two candidates receiving the most votes will serve three-year terms. The third elected candidate will fill the two remaining years of the seat of former trustee Michele Kustera, who resigned earlier this school year.<\/div>\n<\/header>\n

Seeking election are Debbie Adams-Kaden, representing the South Huntington School District; Mary Ellen Cunningham, representing the Lindenhurst School District; and Robert Scheid, representing the North Babylon School District. Mrs. Adams-Kaden and Mrs. Cunningham are incumbents.<\/p>\n
