Job opportunities exist in Nassau County, Suffolk County, New York City and across the nation for graduates of the Surgical Technology program at Western Suffolk BOCES. As a certified surgical technologist, you can work in hospital operating rooms, ambulatory surgical centers, surgical offices, delivery rooms, emergency departments, physician and dentist offices, cardiac catheterization/electrophysiology/interventional radiology units, central supply services and tissue banks.
Many certified surgical technologists continue their education in the BOCES School of Practical Nursing. The field offers much flexibility for those who need to work flexible schedules.
