Special Education

Special education programs and services provide equity and access for students with disabilities to be involved in and to participate and progress in the general education curriculum. The Bay 91Pro 91Pro Reopening Plan provides a framework to ensure that all students with disabilities continue to have access to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) that emphasizes services designed to meet their unique needs and to prepare them for further education, employment, and independent living. In consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of students, families, and staff, school reopening plans must be designed to enable transitioning between in-person, remote, and hybrid learning environments to ensure the provision of Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) consistent with the changing health and safety conditions that exist.

The primary focus of this plan is to provide guidance for the reopening of the Bay 91Pro 91Pro for the 2020-2021 school year. More specifically, this document will address the instructional needs of students with disabilities in grades Pre-K-12.  The goal is to keep students and staff members healthy and safe until more viable medical options are available to combat this global pandemic.
