Remote Learning Plan

Remote Learning

As a result of Governor Cuomo’s decision on August 7, 2020, the Bay 91Pro 91Pro will now be offering a K-12 Remote Learning option for those who do not feel comfortable sending their children to school and/or with high-risk family members in their household. The Remote Learning option will be limited in its offerings and focus on the core subjects and those required for graduation. Parents who elect for the full Remote Learning option, will be required to have their children learn remotely for the first semester (January 29, 2021).

91Pro Middle School

Rationale

91Pro Middle School students (grades 7-8) will receive synchronous instruction four (4) days per week and asynchronous learning one (1) day per week (Wednesday).   Instruction will be aligned to essential learning outcomes in the following areas:  ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, World Language, and Physical Education. In addition to synchronous and asynchronous instruction, teachers will use the G Suite platform (i.e. Google Docs, Google Classroom, Google Meet) to share assignments and learning resources, review student work, provide feedback to assess work, and grade assignments. Students will check Google Classroom and their school emails for information from their teachers, and they will submit work in their teachers’ Google Classrooms. Due to staffing implications, we are not able to offer all courses provided in the Hybrid Learning model.
